Chinese Dragon Silk Scroll #42
Scroll Size: approx. 37" x 12" (94cm x 30.5cm)
1) A traditional style of Asian painting first popularized during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). The design of the actual scroll is quite complex with delicate silk being carefully mounted on a silk brocade backer. The scroll has a wood dowel at the base and a cord at the top for hanging. Packaged in a protective sturdy gift box.
2) Dragons symbolize health, strength and energy – and are revered across Asia. They are ferocious in appearance, but also help guide the universe. The symbol on the upper left is the Chinese word for dragon.
